Randomize Questions

Checking this checkbox will randomize the order of the questions and the survey content in which they are displayed on each survey page. It will not move a question across into an unintended page through randomization however. Assume a survey existed with 3 questions on 2 pages, questions A, B, and C on page 1, and questions D, E, and F on page 2. During randomization, page 2 will never display questions A, B or C, and page 1 will never display questions D, E and F. Page 1 may be displayed as ABC, CBA, BAC, etc. The randomize process only occurs once per visitor. Once John accesses page 1 with the order BCA and moves onto page 2, even if he hits the previous page button at a later time, the order on page 1 will still remain BCA.

WARNING: If you have conditions or looping built into the survey, it is highly recommended that you avoid randomizing the questions.

Randomize Pages

Checking this checkbox will randomize the order of the pages in which they are displayed in a survey. For the page randomization, like its question randomization counterpart, the randomization process occurs once per visitor. Each time a new visitor encounters the survey, the order of the pages are randomize. However, once they have gone through the survey, even if they were to restart at the beginning of the survey, they will proceed in the same sequence as when they first went through the survey.

WARNING: If you randomize the pages in your survey, all conditions and looping will be turned off, as the order of items can no longer be guaranteed.

Enabling Multiple Languages

Checking this checkbox will enable the survey to be dispatched in multiple languages. A new sub-window titled Multiple Languages will appear in the survey editor, enabling you to add and delete languages. All the language-related fields will have one input field for each language. The multi-language fields can be found throughout the survey editor and the question editor. By default the English language is included in the list of languages.

Enabling Response Scoring

Checking this checkbox will allow you to specify scores for the multiple choice and open ended question types. You can also specify a maximum number of points possible for the survey and whether to make the scores public or keep them private.
